In this sculpture, a female figure sits atop a stool smoking a long tobacco pipe. The figure has been covered in white (kaolin) and was done so to contrast the light skin with the dark markings of
ritual scarification. Like many sculptures from the region, it was
carved out of a single piece of wood.
