When this print was produced it symbolized of the current state of the country. Titled Land of Plenty, this print depicts life and the hardships during the Great Depression. Large power lines loom within a cornfield, symbolizing the country’s shift from an agricultural to an industrial society. In some versions of this print, the artist has included a family in ragged clothes and no shoes – illustrating the economic state of many families during the time.
