These elaborate accessories were made by all of the Native American Plains tribes. They are recognizable by their tailoring, materials, beaded designs, and color preferences. This example comes from the Ute tribe of southern Colorado. A long narrow case for the owner's pipe stem is attached to the larger bag that would hold the tobacco and pipe bowl.
