In 2004, Sylvester Ayek received the Distinguished Artist Award from the Rasmuson Foundation for his creative skills and lifelong devotion to the arts. Sylvester Ayek’s art has been exhibited extensively in Alaska, in individual and group shows. Ayek’s art is included in Alaskan museum’s permanent collections and the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C.
