The style of decoration on this vessel from antiquity can be considered abstract. The decorative panels are divided into four horizontal bands and patterned with different abstracted motifs derived from nature. The widest band displays simplified vertical red fronds with black detail that alternate with black leaves with white detail. Below is a very thin band with an abstracted white ivy vine on black glaze.
