Interest in objects of domestic design dominate Inna Babaeva’s works. Such an example can be seen here--the ceramic plates precariously placed on a metal frame reference a drying rack. Though there is a suggestion of the domestic, in reality these ceramic objects are too fragile to be practical. By organizing them this way, Babaeva addresses the functionality of these objects.
Born in the Ukraine, Babaeva received her MFA from Rutgers University and BFA from Florida Atlantic University.
