In 1998 this artist started working with LCD glass, a type of glass that is mass produced and commonly used for screens in televisions, smartphones, and tablets. The ultra-thin sheets are broken into small shards that she arranges, by the thousands, into simple forms like circles and squares. As you walk in front of these, notice how the light glitters and glistens off of glass surfaces. The continual movement created by the refractions of the light is contrasted with the stable, geometric shapes of the objects. In her work, she has been fascinated with the fleeting quality of light, and although she believes light can never be fully captured, taming it is her greatest challenge.
