Using photographs of human models and images of animals, Alessandro Gallo created a hybrid of human body and, in this case, a goose's head. By juxtaposing the two, the artist makes interesting connections—highlighting similarities and differences.
Gallo attended the University of Genoa in Italy, where he studied law, later enrolling in St. Martin's College of Art in London to study art. There, he experimented with digital photography, manipulating images of animals in city settings, such as a polar bear on a subway platform. This sense of humor and playfulness extends to his work in three-dimensional ceramics.
