Born in Newburgh, New York on May 31, 1923. Elsworth Kelly attended the Pratt Institute from 1941 - 1942, the Boston Museum School from 1946 - 1948, L’Ecole des Beaux-Arts form 1948 - 1949, Bard College and the Royal College of Art.
