Jaroslav Brozik
Born in PIzen, Czechoslovakia on November 29, 1904. Immigrated to U.S when he was a boy. Brozik grew up in Illinois, where he studied art at the Art Institute of Chicago. He taught at the Davenport Municipal Art Gallery in the early 1930’s. In 1935 he became an art instructor at the Flint Institute of Arts, where he taught until 1945. IN 1946 he moved to Santa Barbara, CA. He was commissioned for WPA mural Rural Delivery, in the Post Office in Howell, Michigan. - askart.com (HJ 3/11)
